DIY: Homemade Body Scrub

Wouldn’t it be great to care for your face and body with your own homemade beauty products? Our skin suffers due to the rigors of our modern society. What with modern climate control systems and pollution, our skin deserves some extra TLC at least once a week to keep it smooth and glowing. So next time you have some free time, break out the below ingredients, which you surely already have at home, and make yourself an all-natural and totally refreshing face or body scrub.
 
Oat and Chamomile Face Scrub
 
Measure 8 spoons of dried chamomile and 2 spoons of oats into a blender or food processor. Grind to powder. Dump into a bowl and add 2 spoons of an extract of your choice or calendula oil, and 2 spoons of real Greek yogurt, the kind with the skin on top. Mix well. Spread the mixture on your face and let sit for 5 minutes. To remove, rinse with warm water and wipe with a cotton make-up pad, which will remove dead skin cells, dirt, and sebum. Chamomile and calendula oil are both natural relaxants and will calm and sooth you as you enjoy your scrub. Oat is hypoallergenic, and helps moisturize and reconstruct your skin while the Greek yogurt works to prevent skin irritation.
 
Milk Body Scrub
 
Pour 5 spoonfulls of sugar and 1 cup of milk into a mixing bowl and mix well until they become a congealed mass. Spread this mixture on your skin with big circular motions until your skin turns rosy. Rinse off in the shower and enjoy truly baby soft skin!
