Frozen Yogurt with Pistachios

Frozen yogurt is all the rage! It’s the best of both worlds. So try making it at home with your own fresh ingredients!

 

Ingredients

½ cup sugar

½ cup water

1 cup honey

600g yogurt

2 cups milk

½ cup unsalted pistachios

 

Directions

Boil the water and the sugar in a pot, stirring with a wooden spoon until fully diluted. Add the honey and mix. When the syrup has congealed a bit, take it off the burner to cool. Boil the milk in a small pot and set that aside to cool as well. Put the yogurt into a bowl and slowly add the boiled milk, stirring all the while with a whisk until it becomes a thin cream. Next, slowly add the syrup while stirring continually. Then, pour the mixture into a freezer safe container and set in the freezer until it starts to harden. Afterwards, dump the mixture into a blender and blend until it becomes frothy. Place mixture back into the freezer for 1-2 hours then take out and remix in blender. Finally place the mixture back into the freezer safe container along with the pistachios mixed in. When it is fully hardened, garnish with pistachios and a little honey and enjoy.
