Simple Steps for Everyday Sun Protection

09 July 2014

Summer is most folks’ favorite season. But on our island, summer means especially high temperatures, which in conjunction with humidity can do a number on our skin. Therefore we have to take certain measures to ensure that our skin stays young and vibrant. Children in particular, have to be especially careful, as they have an increased amount of melanin in their skin. They should stay out of the direct sun during peak hours and go swimming or play outside only after 5 pm.

Wearing a hat with a wide brim, loose fitting cotton or linen clothing, sunglasses and sunblock all day long are simple steps to preserving your skin throughout the long hot Cypriot summer.
