The Secret to a Great Barbeque

Who doesn’t love a barbeque? Especially on our island, we break out the grill at the drop of a hat. You can bet that if we’ve got friends or family over, some man is gonna fire that bad boy up! Yeah, you read right, some man! Barbequing is totally a “man thing”. The ladies will make the salads and side dishes while the kids run around and play out of everyone’s hair. And the men… the men will undoubtedly congregate around the grill doling out their wisdom to the ‘griller in chief’ about the best way to cook that steak. But what really is the best way? Read on to find out!
First of all, it is essential to use only top quality meats, and a variety of them. This is where METRO comes in! Ideally, you should serve 4 different types of meat, which should all be cut properly. The meat should be marinated, which takes time, and is therefore best done before everyone arrives. The marinating process ensures the meat will be tender and juicy when cooked. And don’t forget to use a little imagination when grilling. Throw some pitas and some peppers and onions on there too. You can also wrap unpeeled baking potatoes in tin foil and set them to cook on the grill. Top them with butter and sour cream or Greek yogurt. Yum!
