Homemade Raw Honey Facemask for Healthy Skin!

Facemasks made with simple natural ingredients offer so many benefits to skin.
Homemade facial masks can do wonders in terms of rejuvenating tired skin cells, rehydrating the skin and stimulating the skin’s repair and renewal capabilities. So why honey?
 
Honey, especially the raw variety, has become a staple in face masks made from home and with good reason.
It is rich in nutrients including Vitamins B and C, as well as other minerals and amino acids which provide great nourishment to the skin.
Honey helps prevents premature ageing due to its antioxidant properties, and also assists in preserving the natural oils of the skin, helping it to retain elasticity.  
Its humectant qualities aid skin cells in retaining their moisture thereby preventing the skin from drying out.  As a result, the appearance of wrinkles is reduced. 
Honey is also effective in treating oily or acne prone skin because of its antibacterial properties.
Making a homemade facemask is incredibly easy!  
Below a recipe for honey facemask created with the most common problematic skin issues in mind:
 
Honey Facial Mask for a Glowing Skin!
 
Ingredients
 
1 teaspoon raw honey (honey high in bee pollen is high in vitamins and antioxidants)
1 teaspoon mashed avocado (the fats in avocado are particularly moisturizing for the skin)
1 teaspoon plain whole milk yoghurt (the lactic acid therein helps reduce acne and minimizes the appearance of wrinkles by stimulating collagen production)
 
Instructions
 
Mix the ingredients together in a small bowl until they form a smooth paste.  Massage the mixture into your skin and leave it on for about 25 minutes before rinsing it off.
