Still Alice (2014)

A professor of linguistics, wakes up one day and starts to forget the names of her family and friends, due to an advancing case of Alzheimer’s disease. But what Alice still owns is her courage and her belief that life is wonderful. This touching film showcases a woman’s strength and will remind you that every single moment in your life is precious. Alice is played by Julianne Moore.

The Post (2017)

Nominated in this year’s Oscars, The Post is based on true events taking place in late 70’s. Meryl Streep plays the legendary editor of The Washington Post, Katharine Graham, whose courage and decisions helped reveal one of the greatest scandals in US history.

Suffragette (2015)

The women’s right to vote, was claimed not so long ago. In this movie, suffragettes in the London of the early 20th century are ordinary women, mothers, wives and daughters who claim a simple thing: Gender equality. An inspirational British independent film starring Anne-Marie Duff, Carey Mulligan, Helena Bonham Carter, and Meryl Streep in a guest star role.

Thelma & Louise (1991)

This classic ode to female friendship and support that had to be included to our list. Two women take a break from their usual lives and go on a road trip. Starring the wonderful Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis.

Julie & Julia (2009)

A film for foodies out there that celebrates the life of the famous homecook Julia Child in the early years of her culinary career, by paralleling it with the life of the young New York-based Julie, who tries to cook all the recipes of Julia Child’s book. Starring Meryl Streep and Amy Adams.

Wonder woman (2017)

In this epic superhero action film, Wonder Woman flees from the dreamy Amazonian-ran island to the WWII struck Europe, in hopes to save the world. Starring, Gal Gadot.

Atomic Blonde (2017)

How would James Bond like if he were a woman? Watch this action-packed film and find out. Charlize Theron plays the leading part, of the secret agent Lorrain Broughton and gives woman power a whole new meaning!
