Easy and Healthy 3 Ingredient Breakfast Recipes for Kids

The new school year is just about to begin so why not give your child the best start to their day with some deliciously healthy breakfast options. 
 
We give you 3 recipes that aren’t only super tasty by also nutritious with the inclusion of some hidden nutrient filled ingredients.
 

Sweets fajitas!

 
There isn’t a child that doesn’t like a Mexican dish, especially the sweet version. This 3 ingredient fajita breakfast is sure to get your kids munching!
 
Ingredients: (4 servings)
 
4 whole wheat fajitas 
 
½ cup peanut butter
 
2 medium bananas or 6-7 strawberries cut into slices
 
Optional: ½ cup dark chocolate chips 
 
Method:
 
It couldn’t be simpler. Grab your fajitas, cover the entire surface of each fajita with the peanut butter, place the sliced bananas or strawberries on top, sprinkle your chocolate chips if using and roll into a wrap form! Voila! Your fajitas are ready!
 

Pancakes with Banana and Almond (or Peanut) Butter

 
Almost feels like dessert for breakfast! 3 ingredient pancakes – so easy!
 
Ingredients: (for 9 pancakes)
 
1 large ripe banana (and an additional banana slices for serving)
 
¼ cup almond butter or peanut butter
 
2 large eggs
 
Honey for serving
 
Method:
 
In a bowl, mash one banana together with your almond or peanut butter, until smooth. Next, whisk in your eggs until fully combined.
 
Heat some oil in a nonstick skillet pan over medium-low heat. Add 2 tablespoons of the mixture and cook until small bubbles form around the edges and in the middle of the pancake (approximately 2-3 minutes). Then flip and cook for approximately 1 minute. Ideally, both sides should become a golden color.
 
To stay warm, place the pancakes on a baking sheet, cover them with foil and place in the oven at a low heat.
 
Serve with honey and banana slices.
 

Breakfast with ... Cookies!

 
Yes you heard me. These healthy and tasty cookies are perfect with a glass of milk. A full breakfast!
 
Ingredients: (for 5-6 cookies)
 
2 ripe bananas
 
1 cup oats
 
½ cup dried berries (you can make a mixture of raisins, cranberries, blueberries, etc.)
 
Optional: ¼ cup dark chocolate pieces.
 
Method:
 
In a bowl, mash your bananas and mix in your oats. Add the dried berries (and chocolate if using) and the mixture is ready. Use a spoon to drop balls of your mixture on parchment paper lining a baking sheet. Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Cookies are ready!
