After mammoth meat consumption during Easter, and what with summer fast approaching, healthy smoothies are definitely something you will want to include into your daily eating plan!
 
Below, we give you 3 quick and easy smoothie recipes composed of healthy tasty fruit and yoghurt. Besides being absolutely delicious, these smoothies are also full of vitamins and other beneficial and nutritious ingredients for the body!
 

Creamy Pink Banana Smoothie

 
Strawberries and banana? A great combination!
 
Ingredients:
 
1 handful of fresh strawberries
 
1 handful raspberries (frozen)
 
1 banana cut into thick slices
 
5 tbsps. (75 ml) yogurt
 
6 tablespoons (90 ml) apple juice
 
Throw into a blender and mix until creamy and smooth!
 
This smoothie - with its wonderful pink color - will give you energy and strengthen your immune system! It also aids with digestion and is really good for the skin.
 
Not surprising with its insane cocktail of healthy nutrients such as folic acid, vitamins B1, B3, B6 and C, calcium, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus and proteins.
 

Creamy Banana – Apricot Smoothie

 
It’s the season of apricots, so get them ripe to make an awesome tasting smoothie.
 
Ingredients:
 
2 bananas
 
4 apricots
 
5 tbsps. (75 ml) yogurt
 
10 tablespoons (150 ml) apricot juice or apple
 
Place your ingredients into your blender and mix until smooth!
 
Like your creamy pink smoothie, this creamy banana and apricot smoothie is not only great for digestion and the skin, it will also give you an energy boost and make your immune system that much stronger!
 
This smoothie contains folic acid, vitamins B1, B3, B5, B6 and C, calcium, phosphorus, iron and proteins – a glass full of nutritious goodness!
 

Pink Melon Smoothie

 
Sweet juicy melons are already in season this year and they form the basis of this rock star smoothie!
 
Ingredients:
 
2 handfuls strawberries
 
½ melon cut into large cubes
 
5 tbsps. (75 ml) yogurt
 
6 tablespoons (90 ml) apple juice
 
Throw into your smoothie and combine!
 
Taking your first sip of this smoothie, you will quickly realise just how perfect a match melon and yoghurt are!  This is an awesome drink that will give you energy, help to detoxify the body, aid in digestion and reap benefits for your skin. Not hard to understand considering that it contains biotin, folic acid, vitamin C, magnesium, calcium, and protein.
 
Tip: Try out different fruit combinations to get to the flavour sensation you'd like - blackberries, blueberries, kiwis, apples, and more! There is no end to the list so just have fun with it!
