Peanut Butter and Corn Flakes Cookies!

26 January 2016

A mouthwatering sweet cookie treat that’s bound to get anyone eating them wanting more and more!

What we will need: (for about 25 pieces)

½ cup (granulated) sugar

½ cup peanut butter

3 cups corn flakes cereal

½ cup corn syrup

2 tbsp. butter

For garnish (optional):

80-85gr. dark chocolate or milk chocolate

Method:

Melt the sugar and corn syrup in a non-stick pan over medium heat and allow the mixture to come to a boil. Immediately add the butter and peanut butter and stir vigorously with a wooden spoon until completely mixed. Remove from heat.

Next, add the corn flakes to the pan and stir until they are completely coated by your sticky syrupy peanut butter sauce.  Alternatively, you could place the corn flakes into a bowl, pour your sauce over them and then mix which may prevent the corn flakes from crumbling too much.

Then lay some greaseproof paper onto a flat surface and spoon bite-sized balls of your cookie mix onto it.  Allow them to cool and then dig in!

Optional: If you want some extra decadence, melt some chocolate and once the cookies have cooled, drizzle some of the chocolate over them! Incredible!
