Sleepless in Seattle
A classic movie, starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. Hanks, plays a widower with an 8-year-old son, Jonah. They live in Seattle, where Sam still grieving the death of his wife, can’t sleep. Although Jonah misses his mother, he wants his father to get a new wife. On Christmas Eve, Sam, on Jonah's initiative, Sam ends up pouring his heart out on a national radio talk show about how much he still misses his wife. Among the many women who hear Sam's story is Annie (Ryan). With Jonah’s help, Sam and Annie finally meet on the top of the Empire State building.
Pursuit of Happyness
Based on a true story, Pursuit of Happyness features real life father-son duo Will and Jaden Smith. Chris Gardner struggles with financial crisis eventually and becomes homeless after his wife leaves him and his son. He manages to get an internship at a renowned brokerage firm and then his life starts taking good turns. This tells the story of a brave father who despite having nothing raises his child by himself.
The ‘Descendants’ is a story about Matthew (George Clooney) whose wife suffers a boat accident resulting into coma. Matthew is left alone with his two daughters. Matthew already under emotional turmoil due to loss of his wife gets some more bad news when he discovers about Elizabeth’s affair. The father and his daughters decide to find out their mom’s alleged lover and this unconventional journey makes the father-daughter bond much stronger.
‘Finding Nemo’ is a brilliantly animated movie. It depicts the story of an overly-protective clownfish (Marlin), who along the help of his friend Dory, searches for his abducted son, Nemo.

From a comedy to a struggle for survival, this heart-wrenching movie is a genuine evidence to the love that a father has for his son. Originally made in Italian, Life is Beautiful (La vita è bella), emphasizes the fact that human spirit is above all else.
