Smoothie No. 1 “It’s all about berries!”

Berries are your friends when it comes to detoxing because of all the antioxidants and fiber they contain.

Ingredients (1 portion)

1 ½ cups berry mix (blueberries, raspberries, blackberries). You can use either fresh or frozen

½ cup coconut milk

1 cup water

1/8 cup oats

Method

Blend everything together until you reach a smoothie consistency. If you are using fresh berries, rinse them before adding them to the blender.

 

Smoothie No. 2 “Ginger and Spice!”

Ginger root is excellent for detoxing. Not only it wakes up the taste buds with its spicy character but when combined with cinnamon, it gives additional anti-inflammatory benefits.

Ingredients (1 portion)

1 nub ginger root

1 tsp cinnamon

1 handful spinach

1 cup water

Method

Blend everything together until you reach a smoothie consistency. If you mince the ginger before adding it, the less bits you’ll have to crunch on when you drink it.

 

Smoothie No. 3 “Cocoa bliss!”

Of course, you can use chocolate as part of your detox routine, as long as it’s the right kind. This smoothie, has all the taste as well as the antioxidants from the chocolate and the strawberries

Ingredients (1 portion)

1 tbsp dark cocoa powder

½ cup coconut milk

½ cup strawberries

1 cup ice (if making it during warmer months)

Method

Blend everything together until frothy and smooth.
