To celebrate World Animal Day on October 4th , METRO supermarkets organised a Dog Show in collaboration with animal welfare association Pets2Adopt, for purebred dogs and mixed race alike.

The event took place in the parking lot of METRO Strovolos on a sunny Sunday morning. In a pleasant environment both adults and children had fun watching dogs of all kinds and breeds to pose with unique costumes, with special hairstyles and haircuts and to perform complex tricks.

The event was supported by Pedigree who also offered gifts to the winners. The jury composed of representatives of METRO and Pedigree and also Mr. Athos Agapitos and actors Yiota Cross and Petros Philippou, who came to support the efforts of METRO, and thus showing the great love for animal.

All proceeds from this event were given the Pets2Adopt and Aradippou dog shelter.
